What is Hundo?
Hundo is a private app for Indian families that reconciles your whole net worth — bank, EPF, PPF, NPS, mutual funds, stocks, gold, cash — across every portal into one honest number, and keeps your documents and renewal dates safe in one place. It runs on web, iOS and Android.
What can Hundo actually add up?
Fixed deposits, EPF/EPFO, PPF, NPS, mutual funds (with XIRR and returns, marked to AMFI and Kite NAVs), stocks and demat holdings, gold and sovereign gold bonds, and cash. It marks investments to market so the figure is today’s, not last year’s.
Does it connect to my bank or EPFO automatically?
No automatic scraping and no stored bank password. You capture each account and document once; Hundo then keeps the running picture, marks investments to market from public feeds, and watches every renewal and expiry date for you.
What is the document vault?
A locked shelf for the papers that matter — Aadhaar, PAN, passport, driving licence, insurance policies, warranties and nominees. Each is stored as typed fields plus the uploaded proof, with its expiry tracked, behind a PIN or biometric lock.
What does Hundo remind me about?
Insurance premiums, EMIs, FD maturities, and passport or policy expiry. Reminders are derived automatically from the dates you capture, so nothing quietly lapses.
What is Munshi?
Munshi is Hundo’s AI assistant. It answers questions about your money and proposes reminders or goals that you tap to confirm — it never acts on its own. It follows your household’s language setting, so it can speak Tamil-and-English Tanglish and the like.
Can I track money for each family member?
Yes. Every entity has a “for whom” axis, so you can see the provision held per person, and Hundo supports multiple families and households.
Which devices does it run on?
Web, iOS and Android — the same vault on each. The apps are not in the stores yet; early-access families get in first.
Privacy & security
Is Hundo safe?
Yes. Your data stays in India (Google Cloud’s Mumbai region), behind passkey login and a biometric app-lock. Hundo shows no ads and never sells your data, and Aadhaar, PAN and account numbers are redacted before any AI ever reads them.
Where is my data stored?
In India — Google Cloud’s asia-south1 (Mumbai) region. It is encrypted at rest and in transit and does not leave the country in normal operation.
Can the AI see my Aadhaar or account numbers?
No. Before any request goes to an AI model, identifiers like Aadhaar, PAN and account numbers are stripped and masked on our side. The assistant helps without ever receiving the raw numbers.
What if I lose my phone?
A biometric app-lock guards the app even on an unlocked phone, and when it locks it clears the session token from memory — so there is nothing for someone to resume. You sign back in with your passkey.
Do you sell my data or show ads?
Never. There is no advertising and no data-broker business. We make money from subscriptions, not from your data.
Money & accuracy
How does Hundo value my mutual funds and stocks?
It marks them to market using keyless public feeds — AMFI NAVs for funds, Yahoo and NSE data for stocks — and computes XIRR and returns so you see today’s value, not the amount you invested.
Is the net-worth number reliable?
It reconciles what you capture into one running figure and keeps investments marked to market. It is only as complete as what you add — but once an account is in, Hundo keeps its value current for you.
Does it track my retirement savings over time?
Yes. The retirement passbook keeps a month-by-month EPF, PPF and NPS contribution ledger — with the employee, employer and pension split — and you can import your EPFO passbook PDF.

How do I get in?
Request early access with your email. We open families in small batches and email you when your batch is up — then you set up your family’s vault.
Is it free?
Yes — free during early access. There is no credit card and no trial clock while we are in early access.
How long until I’m let in?
We open batches steadily. You will get an email the moment your family’s spot is ready; there is nothing to do in the meantime except watch for it.
